Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, it appeared to be, that this info is not so easy to write. Hey! I do not want to sound pathetic! To write down something like “Hey there (or welcome) my name is Oxana and I … blah… blah… blah…” – seriously! B.O.R.I.N.G.
So let me try to be short:
- I am a founder of Crafts Journey LLC and you already know my name from paragraph above.
- Up in front I wanna say, that I am politically incorrect Texas girl.
- I am honest and blunt, and I like everything snarky, so you may see quite a bit of that on my site. Btw, I can be pretty bad troll – just warn ya.
- Also, “English” – is not my prime language. So you will have a lot of fun reading me. And nope – I do not have a proof reader. You will enjoy it 🙂
- Speaking of “English” – I came to US in 2011 straight into Texas. I love it here, the weather – is just something, what speaks to me (ok, maybe not August). I came from Ukraine (Kiev) in late December – from winter into spring (yep, the weather here was just a spring one).
- The story about how in the hell I ended up here and like this – you can read in my The Story of my… Cross-stitch.
- Currently I am in this weird mood of trying every single craft. But, just because I love to cross-stitch, you will see here a lot of designs dedicated to it.
- I had been cross-stitching at my teenage, then I had a break (read my story in topic above) and now I am back on track with even more desire to keep going.
- Just recently I put my hand on embroidery and satin-stitch. So I am very excited to create some designs there too. Even though the skill level is at embryo stage, but I will keep practicing it – because you can make so many beautiful pieces.
- This site is not going to be limited to cross-stitch only or any needlepoint craft. So while I will try different crafts – I will post all my newby-baby steps here, because I know how it is important for beginners.
- I love-love-absolutely love to crochet. I am not going to overwhelm you here with my Crochet Journey (the story is coming up soon), just read it separately, if you want. And I do want to create a crochet designs, but I can’t wrap my head around those charts yet 🙂
- Speaking of crochet, I hate knitting (yep, I am weirdo, in addition to that soup of crafting hobbies, I also know how to knit). Don’t judge me, I love knitting products and I find them amazing, but I just can’t stand knitting. I get bored like on a second row of it (no matter how big the piece is), and then, even with a cookie, you can’t lure me to finish a piece.
- What else to add. I love music and can listen it a lot, until my head will start hurting. I am not tied to one style only. I love meditative music (which I am listening when stitching) and I love heavy music (ok, I listen to it while I am at work and sometimes when I am driving). My advice though, don’t listen to it while driving – this ef*ing dangerous!
- And probably last. I do love to create designs from pictures I can find in internet. BUT!!! I respect copyright authority and will never use protected picture without obtaining a permission from the author. You will always find this information in my designs and on a site.
To summarize: I am an angel with the devil claws. So before judging me, make sure you are perfect.
